Western Forestry Co-op will be visiting a live harvesting site of 35 year old Sitka Spruce that has never been thinned and will look at the quantity and quality of the logs coming off the site and the advantages and disadvantages of not thinning conifers.
We will also be discussing harvesting methods, timber sales, timber haulage, windblow risk and general site management.
We will be meeting at the Rainbow Centre in Glenfarne, Co Leitrim. F91RK54 @ 3.00pm on Friday the 22nd of April.
