Colm Gilheaney – Establishment Manager (Roscommon/Sligo/Longford/Cavan/Monaghan/Leitrim/Donegal)

Colm a Leitrim native residing there with his wife and two sons, graduated from WIT in 2008 with a degree in Manufacturing Technology and from UCD with a degree in Agricultural Science in Forestry in 2015. He has worked previously in different engineering roles, as a lumberjack, a tree surgeon, and ran his own landscaping company.

He has gained forest experience as a youngster in forestry with his father who was a Lumberjack and after qualifying as a forester with the state forestry, in Iceland and with Coillte in Ireland. Colm joined Western Forestry Co-op in 2015 and is based in our Sligo office managing the afforestation team and projects in counties Sligo, Leitrim, Roscommon, Donegal, Cavan, Longford, Monaghan and across the country. Colm is a technical member of the society of Irish Foresters and a Native Woodland Scheme accredited Forester.
